PRT Loader Objects Explorer

Available in: Krakatoa v1.0.0 and higher.

Selecting PRT Loaders

  • The PRT Loader Objects rollout in the Krakatoa Explorers floater will display dynamically all PRT Loaders in the scene.
    • Adding, Renaming, Editing and Deleting Loaders will be reflected by the content of the list box.
  • Selecting Loaders in the Scene and selecting one or more loaders in the listbox will be synchronized by default.
    • To disable this behaviour, uncheck the [>Synch. Selection] option.

Property Display

  • The name of each Loader will always be displayed inside [] brackets.
  • The list box will only display one set of properties at a time to avoid cluttering the view.
  • The available property sets are:
    • Particle Files: number of file sequences followed by their file names without path.
    • Render Settings: on state, percentage, limit toggle and value in thousands and Loading mode. When off, the rest will not be shown.
    • Viewport Settings: on state, percentage, limit toggle and value in thousands and Loading mode. When off, the rest will not be shown.
    • Particle Display Mode: shows small, large dots or velocities display in the viewport.
    • Particle Color Source: viewport and renderer particle color source mode.
    • Timing: Frame Offset plus Load Whole File Sequence or Load Single Frame Only mode.
    • Options: Use Transformations mode
    • Missing Frames In Scene: Displays a list of all missing frames with respect to the current scene segment.
    • Missing Frames In Render: Displays a list of all missing frames with respect to the list of frames to be rendered.
  • The last two display modes can be used to detect potential problems when rendering the scene.
    • The displayed frames take into account the frame offset and playback graph animation for all Particle Loaders.
  • Switching the properties display mode via the drop-down list will refresh the list.

Selecting and Deselecting Loaders In the Listbox

  • The list box allows multiple selections
    • To select more than one entry, hold down the Control (Ctrl) key and click multiple items.
    • You can also use the Shift key to select a range of items between two clicks.
  • A set of 3 buttons underneath the list box provide fast selection operations:
    • Select All Loaders: selects all Loaders in the list box. If the [>Synch. Selection] option is checked, this will also select all Loaders in the scene.
    • Deselect All Loaders: deselects all Loaders in the list box and optionally in the scene if the [>Synch. Selection] option is checked.
    • Invert Loaders Selection: selects the unselected and deselects the selected Loaders.

Enable/Disable Selected Loaders In Viewport and Rendering

  • A set of 4 buttons in this group of controls can be used to control the display of the Loaders in the viewports and in the final rendering.
    • Enable In Viewport: enables the viewport display for all Loaders selected in the list box.
    • Disable In Viewport: disables the viewport display for all Loaders selected in the list box.
    • Enable In Render: enables the rendering for all Loaders selected in the list box.
    • Disable In Render: disables the rendering for all Loaders selected in the list box.
